An offroad race accident in California claimed the lives of eight people on Saturday. Spectators of the California 200 in Lucerne Valley were allowed to get incredibly close to the race course with some reports saying that you could "almost touch the trucks" as they flew by. This proximity to the track led to the deaths of eight and injuries to twelve more when a truck lost control and rolled into the crowd. Our thoughts are with the injured and the friends and family of the departed.
